Programme at a Glance

  • SHG promotion & micro finance -There are nearly 9000 members under 865 SHGs, Involved in small Savings & Micro Credit activities.
  • Anti trafficking programmes- For stopping trafficking of girls MAGJs has started 16 GP level women groups (reflect circles) comprising of 25 members in each circle, who work amongst 12,000 rural women to create strong public opinion against trafficking
  • Children’s education & crèche center- MAGJS runs two crèche centers (Rajiv Gandhi Crèche Centers)
  • for 50 children in the age group of 3 to 6 years of ST working mothers   with assistance from the CSWB under Raninagar Block-II.
  • RCH programmes- MAGJS looks after the needs of more than 10,000 people under the umbrella of Health and Family Welfare Department, Govt. of India.
  • HIV–AIDS prevention programme-Murshidabad district is vulnerable for sexually transmitted diseases with more than 5% HIV prevalence of high risk group. MAGJS is engaged to create awareness in the community especially among the adolescent youths who are likely to be at greatest risk.

Our Future Plan of Action

 

  • Completion of the building for the  degree collage
  • To extend micro finance activities with the formation of SHGs in the new villages.
  • To organize income generating activities especially for rural woman by utilizing the local resources
  • To arrange fund raising programme for new initiatives with innovative ideas.
